Engagement rate is (total interactions ÷ number of posts) ÷ followers, expressed as a percentage. Total interactions are likes, comments, and shares. For TikTok and YouTube you can also enter views to get a view-based rate, which is often higher because reach goes beyond followers.
Benchmarks differ by platform. Instagram and Twitter usually sit in the 1-3% range for average accounts. TikTok and YouTube often show higher percentages because of algorithm-driven discovery.
